A lot of people keep asking about restaurants I recommend for date nights so I decided to narrow it down to five places. There are so many restaurants in Seattle that are perfect for date nights so it’s hard to pick my favorites. I’m sure my top 5 will change as I continue to go to more restaurants in the city, but here are my top 5 date night restaurants in Seattle from least expensive to most expensive.
1. Noi Thai Cuisine

There are tons of Thai restaurants in Seattle that I love, but this is my favorite one for date nights. Noi Thai Cuisine is located in downtown Seattle near Pike Place. The reason I think this is the best Thai restaurant for date nights is because of the ambiance.
The restaurant during dinner feels super romantic with the dim lighting. It’s also a beautiful restaurant and usually on the quiet side. I also really enjoy the presentation of the food here. Some of my favorite dishes are: Green Curry Beef, Crispy Garlic Chicken, and Salmon Curry.
Make sure you save room for dessert because they have some really good ones! The most presentable one is the Siam Volcano. It’s a great dessert and it’s beautiful!
2. Umi Sake House
Umi Sake House is located in Belltown and it is an awesome date spot if you are craving sushi! The interior of this restaurant is stunning. They have an area inside that feels like a little indoor garden. I like that you can be seated at a table or a lounge-like table where you can lean back and enjoy a drink.
The sushi here is fantastic and fresh! Sushi can be really expensive but I feel like this place is actually reasonably priced. They also have a great happy hour from 4 P.M. – 6 P.M. and 9 P.M. – close.
3. Sawyer
When people ask for my favorite restaurant in Seattle, I always say Sawyer. I LOVE this place. It’s located in Ballard which is one of my favorite parts of Seattle! The reason this restaurant is my favorite is because of the food. I have never ordered anything I disliked from here.
Their menu also changes frequently and that’s something I really appreciate. It makes me sad when my favorite item is gone, but I love trying new things every time I’m at Sawyer.
Sawyer’s menu is constructed from small plates to larger plates from the top to bottom of the menu. They recommend sharing plates and ordering a few different things. That’s also why I am such a big fan of this restaurant. I prefer to share plates over ordering a personal entree so that I can try more than one item.
The ambiance is also really nice here. They have indoor seating and a patio that is part of the inside of the restaurant that opens up with garage-like doors.
4. Terra Plata

Terra Plata is located in Capitol Hill and it has the cutest rooftop patio! The atmosphere at this restaurant is amazing. I would definitely ask to sit on the rooftop because it’s beautiful. It’s also covered and heated!
This is a great date spot if you’re looking for a place that is healthier. Don’t let healthy scare you away though! They just get their ingredients from farmers that practice organic and sustainable farming. Everything here tastes very fresh and I don’t get that heavy feeling in my stomach when I leave this restaurant.
5. Aerlume

If you’re looking to splurge on a date night, Aerlume is the spot! This is such a romantic spot. The restaurant overlooks Elliott Bay, so the view is great. They have a really nice open restaurant with an outdoor patio that faces the water. There is also a nice fire pit table bar inside perfect to have drinks at! I highly recommend reserving a table near sunset so that you can watch it from the restaurant.
The service here is amazing, as well as their Pacific Northwest-inspired cuisine. They have a nice cocktail list too. Aerlume is also a part of the Revelers Club which is free to sign up for!
Restaurants by El Gaucho are also included in the Revelers Club, along with a few other places in Washington. If you sign up you can use your account at any of the participating locations. It’s a loyalty program that lets you earn back money and redeem rewards when you dine at any one of their locations.
These restaurants are my current favorite date night restaurants in Seattle. Take your girlfriend or boyfriend to one of these spots for an incredible dinner date! Hope you like them as much as I do!
